Now see the beautiful sunset ore the ocean blue
Fiery colors due abound of poems there are a few 
I wish that I could write one, about that perfect hue
But nothing rhymes with Orange

Orchards stretch for miles, they never seem to stop
There nectar baring fruit is one that’s hard to top
A fruit that justifies a sonnet, but might as well be rock
But nothing rhymes with Orange

How do I describe a basketball?
Or the bricks within my garden wall
The autumn leaves before they fall
But nothing rhymes with Orange

So the hardest line you’ll ever write
One to keep you up all night
So please tell if you might
What the hell rhymes with ORANGE?

The Bacon Game

(For all you vegetarians it has nothing to do with eating bacon)

Just think of a movie, then replace one word of the title with bacon!!!!!!!

Ex: Lord of The Bacon, Snow White and the Seven Bacon, The Little Bacon, Scary Bacon 1,2, and 3., and so on. Go on, try it!!

                  Why Music Makes You Smarter

Virgil Griffith, the creator of Wiki Scanner and a grad student from CalTech did some research which studied the relationship between musical styles and bands and the SAT scores of the people who listened to them. He found that the smartest students listened to Beethoven (average SAT of 1371) and the students who rung in at the bottom of the SAT scores listened to Lil’ Wayne. Humans are "wired" for music.  Until recently, scientists did not know how music affected the brain.  The advancement in technology allows scientists to actually "see" brain activity via PET scans and MRI imaging scanning the blood flow in the brain.  Our brains are "wired" with neural pathways.  Most activities only cause a portion of the brain to "light up" with activity; thus, the saying, right brain/left brain, etc.  But there are actually four parts to the brain and music makes ALL of the areas "light up" and create new neural pathways as a person is learning and playing an instrument.  Those neural pathways remain in tact and can be used for other things besides music.

Unicorn Poop Cookies, Yum!

* 1/2 cup butter, softened

* 1/4 cup shortening* 1 cup sugar

* 2 eggs

* 1 tsp. vanilla

* 2 1/2 cups flour

* 1 tsp. baking powder

* 1 tsp. salt

* Food coloring

* disco dust

* sparkle gel

* star sprinkles

* sugar pearls 

In a mixing bowl, cream butter, shortening and sugar.  Add eggs and vanilla.  Slowly add flour, baking powder and salt.  

Divide into smaller bowls and add food coloring. Use neon colors in blue, green and purple and then red and yellow.   Chill for at least an hour.

Make snakes with each color.  You don't want them too thick because you have to use all 5 colors to make one large snake.  Be careful!  They break easily.

Make one large snake out of each smaller snake.  This is hard if you use too much flour.  They won't stick together.  So be patient.

Now make your poops.  

Bake in a 400 degree oven for approx. 8 minutes.  

When you take them out of the oven, immediately press in the sugar pearls.  You want to break through the surface and push them in about halfway (or else they will fall out.)

Let the cookies cool.

Now it's time to add the sparkle gel.  Use a new paintbrush and brush a thin layer of the gel over the entire cookie.  Make sure to get inside the cracks.  This won't harden when it dries and will remain somewhat tacky.  Just don't stack your cookies and your good.

Add the stars on top of the gel.
